Wisconsin RapidsWith a population of 18,435 Wisconsin Rapids is situated at the geographical center of Wisconsin. The Wisconsin River helped shape the city, orginally into two towns with the east side being called Grand Rapids and the west side Centralia. In the 1900's the two merged to form one city and in 1920 became known as Wisconsin Rapids. The paper industry and the forestry in the area played a large role in the economic development of the town. Today Wisconsin Rapids is also known for its cranberry production, producing nearly 30% of the world's cranberries.

Landshut The city of Landshut is one of Germany's most beautiful Gothic style cities. Since 1839 this city of approximately 63,000 inhabitants has been the seat of government for Lower Bavaria. Landshut, which was founded in 1204 by Duke Ludwig I, celebrated its 800th anniversary in 2004. Landshut celebrates one of its storied moments in history every four years with its re-enactment of the royal wedding of Duke Georg and Princess Hedwig of Poland. Today Landshut is known for its many educational institutions and training facilities.
